In my first term at university we were set a design brief to develop a blender to be used by an individual missing a thumb.
The only information provided was the size and shape of the internal motor.
Research was carried out to understand the ergonomics and anthropometrics as well as the British Standards to ensure a safe design was created.
Initial designs were developed and evaluated before a final product was developed.
